Golden Spikes Crimson Tide 10U capped off their weekend in championship fashion, defeating Northern Nevada Aggies Navy 10U by a score of 12–4 on Sunday to secure the NCS Game Master Tournament title. A seven-run third inning proved to be the difference as the Crimson Tide took control and never looked back.
The team jumped out to a fast start in the top of the first inning. An error plated two runs before Austin T. ripped a double to score two more. Charlie W. then drew a bases-loaded walk to give Golden Spikes a 5–1 lead after one.
The Crimson Tide’s biggest surge came in the third inning, when the bats exploded for seven runs. Luke B. tripled in a run, Kyle T. and Austin T. each added RBI singles, Charlie W. worked another walk to score a run, and Ben H. delivered the biggest swing with a three-run single that stretched the lead to double digits.
On the mound, Willie R. earned the win with a gutsy performance. The right-hander struck out six across four innings, allowing only two hits as the defense stayed sharp behind him. The Crimson Tide played error-free baseball, with Charlie W. handling six defensive chances cleanly.
At the plate, Austin T. had a standout day, going 2-for-2 with three RBIs. The lineup as a whole showed patience, working nine walks to go along with timely hits. Aggressiveness on the bases was another key, with Golden Spikes stealing 12 bases, including multiple from Kyle T., Kevin K., Hudson J., Austin T., and Luke B.
The Aggies battled hard, with Kade N. hitting an inside-the-park home run and finishing with multiple stolen bases, while David H. and Kade each drove in runs. Their pitching staff combined for seven walks and two strikeouts but couldn’t slow down the Crimson Tide’s balanced attack.
By the final out, Golden Spikes Crimson Tide 10U were crowned NCS Game Master champions, a reward for the team’s effort, consistency, and unselfish play all weekend. For families and fans, it was more than just a tournament win — it was a glimpse into how athletes develop when given the opportunity to compete together, grow in a homegrown program, and celebrate success as a team.
