Shaping Ballplayers—One Rep at a Time

Camps & Clinics

At Golden Spikes, our clinics and skills classes are more than drills—they’re focused, position-specific sessions led by coaches who know what it takes to compete. Whether your player needs to sharpen their swing, get more confident behind the plate, or learn how to think two plays ahead, our training is built to close gaps and deliver results. We offer short-term intensives, weekly classes, and seasonal prep blocks so families can choose what fits best—without compromising on serious development.

Don't Show Up To Fall Ball Unprepared:
Vision Hitting + Youth Throwing Development

Fall baseball starts fast, and the athletes who are ready in August are usually the ones who used their summer with purpose.

This summer, Golden Spikes Baseball is offering a focused development program designed to help young athletes improve two major areas of their game before fall season begins: how they see the ball at the plate and how they move, throw, and protect their arm.

This is not a casual summer workout. It is a structured small-group training program built to give athletes quality reps, detailed coaching, and the tools they need to walk into fall baseball more prepared, more confident, and more competitive.

Vision Hitting Development

Great hitters do not just swing better. They see the game better.

The Vision Hitting portion of this program is designed to help athletes improve the way they recognize, track, and react to pitches. At higher levels of baseball, success at the plate comes down to more than mechanics. Hitters need to recognize spin, understand the strike zone, make faster decisions, and stay confident against better pitching.

Athletes will work on:

  • Improving pitch recognition and strike zone awareness
  • Tracking spin, velocity, and location more effectively
  • Developing faster visual processing and reaction times
  • Improving timing and swing decisions
  • Building confidence against higher-level pitching
  • Increasing quality at-bats
  • Reducing swing-and-miss tendencies

Youth Throwing Development

A stronger thrower starts with better movement, cleaner mechanics, and a healthier arm.

The Youth Throwing Development portion of this program is built to help athletes create a more efficient throwing foundation. Players will work on mechanics, arm care, shoulder stability, and movement patterns that translate directly to game performance.

Athletes will work on:

  • Proper throwing mechanics and arm action
  • Arm care and injury prevention routines
  • Scapular enhancement and shoulder stability work
  • Building arm strength safely and efficiently
  • Improving throwing accuracy and consistency
  • Developing movement patterns that carry over into games

Small Group Training Format

To maximize instruction and keep athlete-to-coach ratios low, players will be divided into two groups. Each group will rotate between Vision Hitting and Throwing Development throughout the week, giving every athlete focused work in both areas.

Group A
  • Monday & Wednesday: Vision Hitting
  • Tuesday & Thursday: Throwing Development
Group B
  • Monday & Wednesday: Throwing Development
  • Tuesday & Thursday: Vision Hitting

Why This Format Works

This structure allows athletes to stay engaged, get more quality reps, and receive more individualized feedback throughout the week.

The small group format helps create:

  • More individualized coaching
  • More quality reps per athlete
  • Increased engagement and focus
  • Better feedback on every swing and throw
  • Faster improvement heading into fall ball

Fall Baseball Starts in August

The athletes who make the biggest jump are usually the ones who do not wait until the season starts to get ready. They use the summer to build the skills, habits, and confidence needed to compete at a higher level.

This program helps athletes develop:

  • Better vision at the plate
  • Stronger, healthier arms
  • Faster reaction times
  • More confidence
  • Higher baseball IQ
  • Better preparation for fall baseball

Give your athlete the opportunity to enter the fall season prepared, confident, and ready to compete.

Behind Every Spike Is a Story

From little league leaps to big league dreams, see what real families have to say about their journey with us.

Alex’s program has developed my son into one of our leagues top strikes thrower at 10 years old. In just one Rocket Arm Session he has increased velocity, accuracy, and consistency. Thanks Coach Alex!
