Toreros 11U Secure NCS Presidents Day Tournament Win Over Aces Baseball Club 11U

The Golden Spikes Toreros 11U made a statement at the NCS Presidents Day Tournament, defeating Aces Baseball Club – Johnson Spring 2025 11U by a score of 8–2 on Sunday. A huge first inning set the tone as the Toreros piled on eight runs to take full control of the game early.

The scoring outburst began when Chuck C. doubled to bring in the first run, followed by another RBI double from Pete B.. A dropped third strike allowed a run to score before Matt G. ripped a two-run double. Yggy V. added a sacrifice fly, and Chuck C. came through again with a second double in the inning, driving in two more. By the time the inning ended, Golden Spikes had built an 8–0 lead that the Aces could not overcome.

On the mound, Pete B. was steady for the Toreros. The right-hander went six innings, allowing just five hits and two runs while striking out five. His composure and command kept the Aces’ bats quiet after the opening frame.

At the plate, the Toreros finished with 10 hits, led by Chuck C. and Matt G. with two apiece. Chuck drove in three runs while going 2-for-3, and both Matt and Yggy swiped multiple bases to keep pressure on the Aces’ defense.

For the Aces, Dominick P. recorded an RBI, while Ty J. went 2-for-3 to lead their lineup. Wade J. showed speed on the bases with four steals, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.

The 8–2 victory highlighted the Toreros’ ability to strike quickly and play with confidence under tournament pressure. It was another strong performance that reflects the development and team-first approach Golden Spikes Baseball has been building since 2005 — combining disciplined at-bats, solid pitching, and homegrown chemistry.
