The Golden Spikes Crimson Tide 11U kept their winning streak alive this past weekend, capturing the NCS Game Time Tournament Championship with a hard-fought 6–4 victory over 6 Tool Prospects 11U at Laguna Community Park.
The Prospects struck first in the top of the opening frame, pushing across a run on a groundout by Ace H. But Golden Spikes quickly answered in the bottom half when Colin F. showcased his heads-up baserunning, stealing home to even the score at 1–1.
The Crimson Tide pulled ahead in the second inning. Kyle T. delivered a clutch single that scored two runs, and a defensive miscue added another, giving Golden Spikes a 4–1 advantage. The offense kept pressing in the third, as Luke B. singled to center to bring in a run, followed by another error that allowed the Tide to extend their lead to 6–1.
6 Tool Prospects battled back, scoring late to cut into the lead, but the Crimson Tide pitching staff held strong. Starter Willie R. went 4.2 innings, striking out three and limiting damage, before turning it over to Colin F., who tossed 1.1 shutout innings with two strikeouts to secure the championship.
Kyle T. led the way at the plate with two RBIs, while Caden C., Kyle, and Luke B. each notched a hit. On the bases, Golden Spikes stayed aggressive, swiping six total bags, led by Luke B. and Colin F. with multiple steals apiece.
It was a complete team performance: timely hitting, smart baserunning, and solid pitching. With the championship win, the Crimson Tide 11U continue to prove why Golden Spikes is recognized as one of the premier youth travel baseball organizations in the Sacramento region. Families in Roseville, Rocklin, Granite Bay, Lincoln, Folsom, and surrounding communities trust Golden Spikes to deliver elite-level training, competitive opportunities, and player development that prepares athletes for the next level.
