Crimson Tide 11U Capture RCTB Labor Day Classic Championship with 19–11 Victory Over Norcal Titans

The Golden Spikes Crimson Tide 11U lit up the scoreboard at Mather Sports Complex on Monday, defeating Norcal Titans 11U 19–11 to secure the RCTB Labor Day Classic Tournament Championship. It was an offensive showcase, with Golden Spikes piling on runs in the late innings to seal another big tournament victory.

Golden Spikes opened strong, plating runs in the first two innings. Luke B. singled in the opening frame to drive in two, then Kevin K. grounded out and Willie R. drew a bases-loaded walk in the second to push the lead to 4–0.

The Crimson Tide continued to chip away, but momentum briefly shifted in the fifth. Norcal Titans erupted for six runs on four hits, capped by a two-RBI single from Cai R., to storm ahead 11–9.

The lead didn’t last long. In the top of the sixth, the Crimson Tide offense exploded for 10 runs. Austin D. started the rally with an RBI single, Colin F. drew a walk to score another, and Luke B. doubled down the line to drive in two. Hudson J. and Caden C. each added RBI walks, Kyle T. brought in a run on a fielder’s choice, and Austin D. singled again to plate two more. Kevin K. capped the inning with a groundout that scored another run, putting the game out of reach at 19–11.

On the mound, Colin F. battled through three and two-thirds innings as the starter, and Hunter F. delivered 1.2 innings of shutout relief, striking out one and allowing no runs to quiet the Titans’ bats late.

Golden Spikes finished with seven hits, led by Luke B. and Austin D., who each collected two. Luke drove in four runs on the day, while Austin delivered multiple clutch hits to spark the offense. More impressive than the hits was the team’s discipline at the plate — the Crimson Tide drew 18 walks. Willie R. and Kevin K. led with three each, while Hudson J. and Austin D. also showcased patience.

The team’s speed was also on full display. Golden Spikes swiped 14 bases, with Willie R., Hudson J., and Austin D. each recording multiple steals to pressure the Titans’ defense.
